Participants will be exposed to the American Constitution and Treaty overview with Indian people. Acts of Congress 1887, 1889, and others will be reviewed.

Review of Statehood, Allotment Act, Surplus Land Acts, and Opening counties for homesteads, Court cases, Solicitor's opinion and Policy statements, Title 25 Indians - Code of Federal Regulations.

Review of new Acts of Congress: ILCA in 2005, American Indian Probate Reform Act 2007. Policy formation, rationale, and regulations will also be viewed from a historical perspective.
