Teaching Opportunities & Call for Capability Statements:
The American Indian Social Research Institute is a Native non profit that provides social and scientific research assistance to indigenous peoples and their community(s). However, we have a subsidiary called the *Tribal Leadership Development Institute.
We are seeking capability statements from individuals who feel they can teach the following courses to tribal audiences. Click on a course title below to see descriptions of the courses you may be qualified to teach:
- Leadership, Governance and Communication (Management)
- Leadership, Membership and Citizenship (Tribal Social Systems)
- Leadership, Ethics, and Decision Making (Management)
- Constitutions, Treaties and Tribal Governance (Governance)
- Vocalbulary of Sovereignty (Communication)
- Preservation, Culture and Tradition (Tribal Social Systems)
- Land (Tribal Land Management & Natural Resources)
- Social Networks (Communications)
- Leadership Typology
Workshop Dates:
Our first workshops will be February 2010 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This is an intensive 4 ½ days training session and a certificate will be issued on the last day of classes during the honoring ceremony and luncheon.
Consulting Description:
Instructors should have in depth experiences in the subject matter. The instructor must provide his/her own
course materials and handouts.
Instructors are paid $500.00 for every four hours of classes taught. Instructor’s travel and lodging will be paid/reimbursed for. Program participants will register online as this will be a tuition-based training program. If you know you can teach one of these courses please email (

Some classes won’t require advanced credentials and some might. We are trying to line up faculty for the
February training sessions. You will be responsible for your own breakfasts and dinners. Lunches will be provided by us. Regional faculty preference will be given to those resumes/capability statements, etc., in which state the classes will be taught in.
